Somewhere in the South . . .

Another e-mail, with photos, of orbs and Bigfoot, comes my way . . .

I received an e-mail yesterday from someone who shared their photos with me, and gave me permission to post them on my blog. (This is not the same person as here.)

This person wants his/her identity and location kept private.
As far as the location goes, it’s somewhere in the south eastern United States. (Which by the way, is the same part of the country the previous person who contacted me is from, though a different state.)

ORBS
I’ll call this person “Pat” -- this is what “Pat” wrote about the land he/she lives on:

I "found out" this year, that I don't have a "haunted farm" as I had thought.. it is merely Bigfoot living here.... and a lot of orbs, day and night ones.

The orbs often accompany what Pat believes to be a Bigfoot, or even a "family" of Bigfoot:

These come complete with "Bigfoot sounds" as accompaniment, when they are around.
Bigfoot researchers have been out to the property.

Some of the things witnessed by Pat: tree knocking, responding back and forth with knocking, the orbs, footprints, and some telepathic communication, but Pat didn’t share specific details.



BIGFOOT
Like a few others that I’ve known who’ve encountered Sasquatch or Bigfoot or “Big Hairy Monsters,” Pat doesn’t like to call Bigfoot “Bigfoot,” preferring to call them family.

RESEARCHERS
Not surprisingly, many Bigfoot researchers gave Pat a hard time when it came to the orbs and telepathy, etc., though not all have. A few have told Pat they believe there is “something paranormal” happening.

There’s some interesting and disturbing things about Bigfoot research among some investigators that pat has experienced, but unless I get permission from this person I can’t post it. I will say though that it is too bad there are some (like a few well known so-called UFO researchers, that are actually embraced by many in the field) Bigfoot investigators who think not only ignoring, bu mocking, the weirder elements of encounters, throwing their weight around, and tromping through the woods and private property creating nothing but noise -- and sometimes with the intent to shoot -- is not Bigfoot research.

PHOTOS
This first photo looks suspicious to me. Almost fake. I’m not suggesting “Pat” is hoaxing or lying, I’m just sharing my initial response to this photo.

The other photos seem typical of orbs, and the orange orb is particularly interesting. “Pat” asked me if the orange orb is like the one I saw, and I have to say, yes and no. Yes as to color, but no as to size and “structure.” The orb I saw appeared to be a solid craft or machine of some kind, lit from within. And there was no Bigfoot phenomena associated with it. A different “animal” altogether.

Sali Sheppard-Wolford, who wrote of her encounters with a Sasquatch in the Pacific Northwest in Valley of the Skookum, mentions orange orbs that appear to have a connection with Bigfoot.

THE STRANGER SIDE OF BIGFOOT
So thank you “Pat,” for your comments and photos, and for previous people who’ve contacted me with their stories and images.

I’ve gone from complete disbelieve in an orb/UFO/telepathic/Bigfoot relationship, to acceptance that these things happen. The witnesses are not to be mocked, and the data needs to included, not discarded.

Beyond that, I can’t say why it is, but my own research proves that there is a relationship with these anomalous events.

Finished the booklet; not much to read, but what's there is interesting. Local accounts of Bigfoot sightings, and UFOs in seeming connection, in the area. What I like about the book is the fact that an individual is interested/obsessed enough (not necessarily a bad thing) to self publish a little collection of regional accounts. It all adds to the data. There are typos and sometimes a few things aren't clear; that's due to grammar and the way it's presented, I think. The illustrations are very simple. I don't regret the purchase however, not at all. Things like this are interesting to me from a folklore/collector perspective.

I sent you a few pictures .. you can see if you look the trajectory of something moving very fast .. have now also found dead coyotes , squirrels , birds , fish in a pond for absolutely no reason .. think itsa sterilization practice run ? whole area of the woods thinned out including possums , racoons , deer .. still some but not as nuch as normal .. 50% maybe less just is dead,was very lucky and knew something had been / was there . we also have a lil ole creature who wanders in from Okla here .. d- my assessment of the ufo photo Nic has sent is exceptionally important based on the others you sent showing the area is without any normal light source from humans.i am one of the best ufo researchers (not part of the govt) alive in the usa who is relatively unknown... i started to release info in 2006 and 2007 but been involved with the issues since 1991 -Derr

d-about the bigfoot sightings you have had , the truth on bigfoot is easy to give you... the situation is that aliens will wear some type of costume to resemble a hairy ape creature rather than allow humans to see their recon units in their actual appearance ( as obviously alien) . the reason there is no credible reason to assume bigfoot is real is due to the natural reproduction cycle on earth of creatures... there are always imperfectly made creations... thus there is no bigfoot since there has never been recorded info of sick ones or blind ones or deaf ones or handicapped ones ever... thus you have the rubiks cube theory that allows you to see there is no real bigfoot...there are reports of unknown large creatures however... so thus my explanation is of a tactical nature...the bigfoot seen is the scout who makes sure the humans do not get closer to whatever work is being done by alien scout forces on the ground... when they finish they depart... the bigfoot disguised creatures are like sentries...apparently the tactic works very well.... - Derr

d- linda moulton howe and some other researchers have an online presence and deal with cattle or animal deaths and the interaction of same with possible alien life forms since at least. since you are a witness to something odd you can make out a report to give to your own state's ufo report organization--you can see if mufon has a chapter in your state... if you wish to have more information about my work--- i can never give any thing but the worse case scenarios to people due to the ufo cover up of information by the cover up agencies... some of which are not really part of the official govt in wash dc. -Derr
d -your pics would be important based on any observations you write about their movements and if you assumed they were flying in or through wooded areas that human aircraft could not fly thru safely....

For "a small payment" I can have the photos. Maybe I'm a snob, but I am always immediately suspicious when I come across postings like this that are written so poorly, with improper punctuation, etc. I don't trust them.

And while I can't blame someone for wanting credit for their research, and the fact they want to make sure their work, including photographs, artwork, etc. is protected, (I know I expect credit where it's due, and get very peeved when someone alters or rips off my work) there's the other side of it as well, which is sharing the data with others. If he wants a "small payment" why doesn't he write a book? (Didn't the witness say Derr/Tobias could have the photos?)

I did respond, asking him if he's received responses from Bigfoot researhcers. What sent off the final red flag for me was his quick response that: no, I'm the first to respond, and, could we chat on the phone? That makes me uncomfortable. For now, I'll pass, see where this goes, and if anyone else has received this same e-mail.

Bigfoot Threads and Skeptics

Persistent, chronic, pathological skeptics can’t help themselves. I suppose they just love to hear themselves talk. After all, over on the JREF (James Randi “Educational” Forum) it’s their turf; if they base all of their beliefs on the creed that there’s no such thing as Sasquatch, no way, end- of -discussion -and -don’t -even -bring -up -ufo- paranormal- psychic-bigfoot, then why do they have four separate threads going about Bigfoot? One is something like over 200 pages long!

I have no desire to post over there, none, you can be assured of that. There are a few brave souls who give it a try. But I do lurk, and I tell you, it’s a study in human behavior all right.

Cabinet of Wonders: Strange Bigfoot

Checking on my “who links to me” link, I found that the Cabinet of Wonders blog (a great blog overall) has a linked to Frame 352 in his article on the high strangeness Bigfoot encounters in The day Bigfoot went zorbing. A good piece with links to interesting places; he’s also the author of a Darklore article The Unbelieveable Strangeness of Bigfoot. (Interesting, he mentions Stan Johnson (who is deceased) who is one of the subjects of the book I'm working on.)

Patrick Harpur, in his book Damien Reality, writes about this very kind of thing. It’s a book I recommend to anyone who’s interested in this area.

Peter Guttilla’s Bigfoot Files

A must have book for any true esoteric or Bigfoot researcher.

I just finished this book, and enjoyed it very much. It’s full of accounts of Bigfoot sightings (and a few other weird beings) of the stranger kind. UFOs, orbs, and much more high strangeness encounters in connection with Bigfoot are related in this book.

I’ll share some of the sightings from this book, as well as others, later on; these encounters include the three toed tracks, webbed prints, and creatures with red or orange glowing eyes.

Aside from the juicy collection of really weird things, is Peter Guttilla himself. I love his attitude. These accounts exist, and he has no patience with those researchers who continue to ignore, dismiss, or mock such encounters. Guttilla doesn’t have any patience with the skeptical camp either. Good for him. Enough is enough; now let’s get on with the investigations, and stop debating if there’s anything to investigate. (The same can be said of UFOs.)

From the BlogSquatcher: Bigfoot Epistemology

Another good post from the BlogSquatcher, this one on a Bigfoot Epistemology. Blogsquatcher (for I don’t see a name anywhere on the blog) has given us a list and definitions of the types of Bigfoot “beliefs” and researchers. Of the Bigfoot is an ape theory he writes:

Bigfoot is an Ape – These folks follow from the earliest investigators, notably John Green and Grover Krantz. They hold that bigfoot is a real creature somehow related to modern apes. They have almost universally held to scientific materialism in their writing. The difference between them and Extreme Skeptics is their exposure to and openness to evidence. Note that this viewpoint doesn’t spring from physical evidence. This is the crowd that supports the idea of bigfoot descending from Gigantopithecus, without any real physical evidence to support this theory (beyond the size of bigfoot).

I think Lisa Shiel and some others would agree.

BlogSquatcher has parsed the “paranormal bigfoot” theories into distinctive categories. Instead of the sort of catch all “paranormal bigfoot” he’s divided these ideas into Paranormal, Inter-dimensional, UFOs, etc.

It’s clear from this post and others the BlogSquatcher knows his or her stuff.

Lisa Shiel: The Bigfoot-UFO Connection; An Explanation

Lisa Shiel has some interesting thoughts on the UFO-Bigfoot connection on her blog Bigfoot Quest. This is Part I; check her blog for the arrival of Part II .

Two things I liked about her item: 1), the comparison she makes seems so damn obvious, and yet it's escaped many, including myself. 2) She acknowledges that we don't know; we can only offer our own thoughts based on data.

Sasquatch Inside Mt. Shasta

Taking I-5 down to California, I had the joy of passing Mt. Shasta; even just viewing it from the car, it was magnificant. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the time to stop; it was just a sightseeing event, seeing Mt. Shasta from the interstate, and at rest stops. But that was pretty cool, even that. A trip to Mt. Shasta is definitely in my future.

I picked up some maps and did some surfing on the internet, and one thing that struck me as interesting are the caverns inside Mt. Shasta. Certainly those caverns are home to Bigfoot and all kinds of entities, as a large body of lore suggests.

There are a lot of stories out there about UFOs, Bigfoot, and other anomalous events on Mt. Shasta; too many to repost here. A Goolge, etc. search will give you lots of links to follow on the subject.

However, here is an interesting account by a psychic on Sasquatch within Mt. Shasta from the Hollow Earth Insider website, here’s a snippet:

In April 1974, psychic Joyce Partise of Southern California held a sealed envelope in her hands. Unknown to her, that envelope contained a photograph of a Sasquatch footprint … [Ms Partise gave her feeling] “These things are coming from outer space – it’s an outer space war! The first area will be Portland, Oregon. There’s a mountain with a hole in it. Someone should investigate this mountain because they’re down in there already. You know those hairy things that run around, the ape-man? He’s not an ape. They’re underground in contact with outer space and their intentions toward mankind is total destruction!” . . .
“This gorilla man … their eyes are extremely light sensitive from being underground. These tunnels I’m seeing is part of their habitation. They’ve dug them. I think it may even go into California…” ~

And of course, Oregon resident Stan Johnson (deceased) one of the subjects in my book Two Oregon Tales: Bigfoot and UFOs in Oregon, (not yet released) visisted the inner world of Mt. Shasta with the Sasquatch:

My Star friends came for me last night. I was teleported to Mt. Shasta. I was taken to a big rock. Behind that big rock was a door. There was an arch over the door that was rainbow-colored. The door was an etheric door, opening the way into the inside of the mountain to those of higher consciousness. I believe the star people close that door after they enter, and to our third dimensional iyes, it becomes just another side of a cliff of the mountain.

Above the arch was a large eye. This eye was "looking" at me. It was approximately two feet long and it ws a beautiful blue color. I don't know what that eye was, but it seemed like it was alive. As we passed under it, I fel the eye following me. I wondered if this beautiful, blue eye might be symbolic of the third eye, the one eye of the unified vision of the soul, the seat of the inner vision of the higher consciousness. ~

On the Argonaut-Greywolf alienUFOart.com website, is a drawing of a Bigfoot and UFO, as seen by a witness who lived in the area, although the site makes clear the UFO and Bigfoot sighting did not occur at the same time. Scroll down a bit and it’s on the right.
